The New York-Polish Film Festival presents its 11thAnnual showcasing of Poland’s most riveting cinematic feats. We are the largest festival on the East Coast of the United States promoting and presenting Polish films. The New York Polish Film Festival turns to your company for sponsorship for The 11th Annual NYPFF in May 2015.
With five nominations for Polish filmmakers, an Oscar for Best Foreign Film, and a Silver Bear at Berlinale, 2015 is off to being a very special year for Polish cinema! For the past eleven years, the New York Polish Film Festival’s programs have reflected diverse styles and subjects of Poland’s feature, short, animated and documentary films. Polish Film Festival returns in May 2015 with an exciting array of features and shorts. To date, we have shown almost two hundred Polish feature films, shorts, and documentaries, which were widely viewed by both the Polish and American public in New York City. Thanks to NYPFF thousands had the opportunity to see Polish cinema.
The 2015 Festival includes new fiction features like Gods (Bogowie) by Åukasz Palkowski, winner of the Best Film Award at the 2014 Polish Film Festival in Gdynia and Polish Egle 2015, “Citizen” dir. by Jerzy Stuhr, and new feature by Krzyszfot Zanussi. Among the acclaimed documentaries is “ Paderewski”, Actress (Aktorka), about the late Elzbieta CzyÅ¼ewska, and--in partnership with the JCC--The Muses of Isaac Bashevis Singer and The Return.

In light of the recent death of Krzysztof Krauze, the festival will present a few of his films to create awareness of his legacy as a master Polish director. Among them, Papusza by Joanna Kos-Krauze and Krzysztof Krauze, a poetic picture about the Roma poet, with beautiful black & white cinematography.
Gods (Bogowie), by Åukasz Palkowski, which received the Best Film Award at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia in 2014, and several acclaimed documentaries, such as Paderewski by Wieslaw DÄ…browski and Actress (Aktorka) by Kinga DÄ™bska, about the late Elzbieta CzyÅ¼ewska, will be also presented.
